When calculating the size of the panels you require, remember to add 85mm to the width between each glass panel, (where the balustrade will stand). For example, two 800mm x 800mm glass panels, with two end balustrades and one centre joining balustrade will require a space of 1855mm, (85mm End Balustrade + 800mm Glazed Panel + 85mm Centre Balustrade + 800mm Glazed Panel + 85mm End Balustrade). Refer to the example diagram above. The 85mm measurement includes the 42mm Balustrade post diameter, plus 21.5mm either side for each clamp, (this is also the size of the gap between the glass panels and the balustrade post). The End Balustrades also requires 85mm, as the base plate will occupy this space. The glass panels sit 40mm inside each clamp. The total Clamp size is 61.5mm.

Install Tips
Install Tips
Please be extremely careful when unpacking the glass panels, as the slightest nick on the edge of the glass may cause it to shatter. We recommend that customers leave the panels in the packaging until assembling into position. If for whatever reason, the panel does need to be left idle, (after unwrapping), it should be placed in a dust sheet or supported by a wooden rest. Glass Panels should never be left lying on a concrete floor, tiles or paving slabs, as again, the slightest scratch or chip can cause the panel to shatter.
When fitting the glass panels into position, place 100mm wooden blocks underneath to support the glass.
Installing balustrade posts to a solid foundation is essential.
We recommend a minimum fixing depth of 100mm for each post.
Place all posts in the desired position, leaving at least a 100mm gap from any ledges.
Use all fixing holes found on the base plates when fixing the balustrade into position.
Always allow enough time for the resin to set before proceeding with the installation of the glass panels. (for use on brick work or crumbling surfaces, we advise using Chem Fix resin).
Do not use power tools to tighten glass clamps or covers.
