These Rooflights are made to order and are delivered in two separate parts. You will need to silicone the glass unit into the rebated kerb on site. Install the mahogany kerb & sash first and get it square before fitting and bonding the glass. Hinges are fitted, but they may need to be adjusted on site. The Mahogany sash and kerb will need weather-treating and painted to your desired finish / colour. See photo opposite of untreated / bare wood kerb & sash.

IMPORTANT: Low Modulus Silicone Sealant MUST be used when bonding the glass unit into the timber kerb. (Silicone available. Click on “Shop” link above).

Eco-Friendly Rooflights with a U VALUE of just 0.83 W/m²K

Panotrade prides itself on its unique original design and simple installation process. Once bonded into place within our easy fit timber kerb, the glass is completely seamless. There are no joints that could cause water ingression, or any accumulation of moss or mould, unlike other designs on the market.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

External cleaning and maintenance has been simplified by the abundance of glass cleaning agents on the market. However these glass cleaning agents still require sufficient elbow grease to get your rooflight looking great, and cannot even begin to rival the ease and effectiveness of self-cleaning glass, after years of development, the glass we supply uses a microscopic coating with a unique dual-action. The first stage of the cleaning process is “photocatalytic”. In this stage the coating react with daylight to break down organic dirt. The second stage is “hydrophilic”. Here, instead of forming droplets, rainwater hits the glass and spreads evenly, running off in a sheet and taking the loosened dirt with it, also drying quickly without leaving streaks. Manual cleaning will still be required, especially if trees or traffic is close by, but you can rest assured that the glass will clean much more easily than normal glass. After installation the special coating needs 5-7 working days to fully activate.
